Big Sister Dixie

Since this is my "baby book" for both Dixie and Lucy, I thought I should tell the following story, for the record, you know...

Last Sunday at church we were in the lobby for sacrament meeting (as per usual), along with all the other mothers of toddlers. Lucy was sitting unassumingly in her car seat, when Max, who is 13 months old, took Lucy's pink blanket off of her. Dixie immediately gave Max a very angry face and said in a very angry voice, "Beebee, Beebee!", afterwhich she snatched the blanket out of his hands and promptly returned it back to Baby Lucy.

Sean and I watched this encounter and it just warmed our hearts for our baby girls. Dixie has taken on the "big sister" role so willingly without any jealously thus far, and she really loves her baby sister Lucy. Every morning the first thing she wants is to do is to go see the baby. During the day when the baby is sleeping in the other room, she wont stop talking about her, all i hear is "Beebee, Beebee!".

We hope they'll grow up as best friends, always watching out for each other in the face of life's bullies!
